Luke is getting better with his skin condition. We have found that the oatmeal baths and creams seem to help alot. Luke visited my mother and father for the first time during Christmas. He was given lots of love so I thank my family for that. He did not seem to enjoy his first trip to the beach that much. He still laughs and "talks" a lot. He is very precious and we thank God every day for our Luke. Luke is still struggling with the skin condition. We have tried removing detergent from our home, steroid cream, and oatmeal bath. The oatmeal seems to be the most promising at this moment. We also received another prescription from the doctor. He is still a very happy child. He smiles, laughs and talks. He is gaining a bunch of weight. He does not take a bottle at all right now. He is very fond of Mommy. We are truly blessed with our little Luke! Luke is still having trouble with his skin on his face. Its now spreading to his back and arms. We are using some cream which is helping but not getting rid of it completely. He is still a happy baby. He laughs and coos. Sometimes he will just lay in his bassinet and "talk". He truly is a blessing. Luke is doing well. He does have a really bad rash on his face but we got some antibiotic cream and some antibiotics he takes internally to heal it. It is getting better. We believe it may have been from some cheap formula that we gave him. Sharon took Sammy to the emergency room (more on that in news) Saturday and Daddy gave him 8 oz of formula. After that his face blew up. He is improving though. He smiles a lot. I think more than any other of the kids have when they were this young. He likes just looking around and it looks like he is contemplating the world. Luke is sleeping about six hours a night which is really nice. He is making some more noises like cooing. He had his first visit to Christiana today as Sharon was delivering dinner for a family. It was also his first time at Ms Kim and Mr John's house for Sharon's surprise party. God bless. Luke is doing well. He is going through I want to be held phase which we are complyng to. He is awake a lot more and looking around. He is still waking up once or twice a night. He gets up at 11pm and 3am to feed but he goes right back to sleep which is nice. We are enjoying our little Luke. Elaina is being a good big sister by giving him kisses. Elaina has also given him a blanket. Andy has given him a bear and states often how cute he is. Sammy tells us how he likes baby Yuke! God bless and thanks for visiting. Luke is awake a little more than he use to be. He is only waking up once a night which is very nice for us. He eats very well. He has four ounces of milk at night when Daddy feeds him. He usually eats around 3am and is up for about an hour. He enjoys his swing and his siblings continue to enjoy him. Mommy and Daddy are still adjusting and pretty tired. Please continue to pray for stregth for us. Luke is doing well. He has had some trouble going to the bathroom but all in all he is doing fine. Sharon has healed and is now able to take care of the kids. She does still need prayer for strength so we would appreciate that. Luke had a rough night last night. He did not sleep very well. For most of the week he has done night. We are not sure why last night was rough. Mommy is doing very well. She did have a migrane today but her prescription pain medicine helped with that. Andy, Sammy, and Elaina continue to enjoy their little brother. They look in on him to make sure he is ok. Elaina even covered him up with a blanket. She did go for the face but Mommy corrected her. She will be a great Mommy when she grows up. God bless. Luke took his first trip to Stones River Mall today. Mommy needed to get out and take a walk since we have been at home a lot this week. Luke slept the whole time so he wasn't that impressed but I guess its to be expected. He is doing very well. Sharons recovering very well. She still is a bit tender and is moving slowly. Our main concern is her having to carry Elaina when I go back to work next week. Please pray that she will have the strength there. She tried to pick her up today but was unable to carry her for very long. Not too much to report. Luke is doing well. Pretty normal day for him. Sharon is still having some headaches but pain from her surgery is dying down. Please continue to pray for recovery there. God bless. Luke had a pretty normal day of eating and sleeping. He is still being enjoyed by his brothers and sisters. He also enjoys his swing very much. He is a deep sleeper. We can put him in the swing with all the kids playing around him and he won't wake up until its time to eat. He is a great blessing. Sharon had some headaches today. Her pain overall is getting better. Thanks again for the prayers. Luke decided to be awake late last night so we took it easy and stayed home from church. Daddy finished the Lego Space Station for the boys. Luke slept most of the day and ran his usual schedule. He is doing just fine. Mommy is getting better as well. Thank you for your prayers. Luke went with us today clothes shopping for Andy for school. We visited Cici's Pizza and he slept the whole time we were out which was about four hours. We received a wheel chair from Debra Henniger from our church River Oaks. We would just to like to thank her very much for that. We are using it to move Sharon around. She is still having some pain from her surgery. Thank you so much for your prayers for her. Luke is doing well. He was also visited today by Ms. Kim and Mr. John. They enjoyed him very much as he slept in their arms. The internet just came back up today so I should be able to add new pictures to Lukes web site each day while I am home. Mommy is still in some pain so continue your prayers there. Luke is doing fine. He went to the doctor today and he does have some jaundice. They said to keep him in the sun and keep feeding him regularly. Thanks for visiting. We have been without internet for a few days which will hopefully be remedied on Friday. Mommy is still recovering with some pain so we still need some prayer there. Luke is doing really well. He is turning yellow probably from jaundice which we did see with Sam and Elaina. Usually that goes away after a few weeks. He is feeding once or twice during the night. The kids continue to enjoy their new baby brother! God is so good! Mommy is still feeling pain from the surgery. She is still taking some medication for that. Please pray for her recovery. Luke is doing well. Luke is feeding really well during the day but prefers a bottle at night. Andy, Sammy, and Elaina are adoring their little brother. Elaina started carrying her baby doll around some more and loving on it. Cyle says he also likes Luke. Thank you all for your prayers and thanks for visiting. Mommy and Luke are going home today. Everything has checked out for the both of them. Luke is getting better and better at nursing. We are so glad to introduce him to his new home! Mommy is in some pain but the medication is helping. She is getting up and walking around now. Pray for a quick recovery for Sharon. Luke is doing well. He was circumsized today and the doctor said he was the best behaved babies of all the ones she did today. He is sleeping a lot and eating really well. He was visited by Kim Gohlke last night. He gave her a big smile! He was also visited again by Grandma, Andy, and Sammy. We are truly thankful for our new baby Luke! Praise God! Mommy and Luke are doing well. Mommy got to eat some breakfast this morning. She had not been able to eat for twenty four hours due to the anesthesia. Luke is eating well and sleeping well. No complications there. He was visited by Karen and Jason yesterday as well as their crew. They brought Daddy some Fazolis so I want to thank them for that. Grandma, LaDonna, Andy, Sammy, and Elaina also visited last night. Sammy was fascinated by his brother as well as Andy. There are some pictures of Andy holding Luke. Andy wanted to get him a bear to sleep with but the nurse said that it will be awhile before he can have that so he shared his Clifford instead. Elaina also liked her baby brother after her snack and some time with Mommy. She is really missing her Mommy. I had to sit her on the bed with Mommy for awhile. We woke up at 3:30 this morning to go and introduce Luke to a whole new world. We left around 4:30 and got to the hositpal at 5. They monitored Sharon to make sure everything was ok. They then prepped her for the OR and off she went. Daddy actually had to wait to go into the OR until they had done the spinal. Once inside we were there to welcome new baby Luke into the world. He cried a lot because he had fluid still in his lungs. He cried all the way into the nursery where more fluid was removed. He is now fine sleeping comfortably in his little crib. Vick, the doctor that gave anesthesia, took pictures in the OR. A few of the nurses took pictures of Daddy holding our new baby Luke. Mommy is doing well. God is truly good to us! |
