Twenty-Fourth Week Elaina is holding her head up now and very vocal. She laughs from the belly. She is sleeping a lot better for Mommy and Daddy. We thank God for our new found sleep. This concludes the entries for Elaina's web site. She will now be added to our main pictures. Twentieth Week Elaina expeienced her first Easter in her new dress provided for by her godparents John and Kim Gohlke. She got to visit with family friends the Glovicks and see Grandma Harris, Uncle John, and Aunt LaDonna (Rada - name given by Andy). She is still enjoying her music and falling asleep in her swing. Eighteenth Week Elaina loves listening to music and falling asleep. Daddy has made a playlist of soothing songs on the computer that she loves listening to and brings her peace. Elaina had her first trip to Florida!!! We went to see my parents in St. Petersburg. We were there from 3/27/06 - 4/1/06. She was adored by my family and friends. Fifteenth Week She is sucking on her fist and gaining more control of her hands. She seems to enjoy her fist more that her pacy at this time. Daddy was laying down on the bed holding her up in the air and she threw up right on my face. I know its love! We continue to enjoy this beautiful addition to our family! Thirteenth/Fourteenth Week Elaina is sleeping through the night now which is a great blessing. She does have trouble getting to sleep initially but once she does she usually makes it through the whole night. She is still smiling and laughing and we are enjoying that very much. God bless! Eleventh/Twelfth Week Elaina will smile and laugh if you give her a big smile. She makes more "happy" noises and really enjoys her swing. She is doing well. She has managed to avoid the sickness that has plagued our family for the last month. Thanks for visiting! Nineth/Tenth Week (2/6/06) Elaina grows cuter every day as you can see from the pictures. She does sleep most of the night but she does have a hard time getting to sleep initially. Not too much else to report. Thanks for visiting! Eighth Week (1/22/06) Elaina is doing well. She does like to stay up pretty late. We have had some trouble getting her to sleep. We found if we wrap her in a blanket that it does help to comfort her. She is now two months old! She is a joy to have. Thanks for visiting! Seventh Week (1/15/06) Elaina is doing fine. Not too much to report. She did keep us up one night this week and Daddy stayed home from work for a day to help Mommy cope. She is back to her normal sleeping schedule. She has had a few problems going to the bathroom this week but I think they have been sorted out. Thanks for visiting! Sixth Week (1/9/06) She had a four week checkup and she weighs 10lbs and is doing fine. She sleeps for six hours at night. Yeah!!! The parents are getting some sleep and we are very appreciative of that. She is continually adored by her brothers until Sammy wants her pacy. Thank you for all your prayers! Fifth Week (1/3/06) Elaina is doing well. She actually slept six hours last night :) Needless to say so did Mommy and Daddy. We are enjoying her very much. She is adjusting to sleeping in her bassinet. The jaundice is taken care of. Sharon return the Billy blanket today and Elaina has the proper color. Thank you for all your prayers concerning that. All in all she is doing well. GOD bless! Fourth Week (12/25/05) Elaina's first Christmas was good. She pretty much slept through the Beaver Christmas and Harris Christmas but she still got some nice clothes and a purse (from Aunt Melissa (Missawissa)). She is doing really well sleeping and eating. She got some blood drawn to check on her jaundice. We have not received the results yet from that test. Elaina was visited by Grandma Beaver, Grandpa Beaver, and Aunt Holly. They enjoyed her very much. Thanks for visiting!!! Third Week (12/18/05) Today (12/18/05) Andy, Sammy, and Elaina were all in the baby dedecation at church. Please pray for us as we seek GOD's will in raising our children. HE is our only hope. I want to be a father and friend to my children as my Heavenly FATHER is to me. Elaina is doing well. Her jaundice is going down but is not all the way gone yet. She is going to be tested on Tuesday again. Please pray that this will be the end and she can move on. She is keeping us up late at night. She has decided that about 2am is the time to be awake. Please pray for strength for Sharon and I. I hope you all have a Merry CHRISTmas and a blessed New Year. 12/11/05 We did not make it to church today due to Daddy's sickness. In the afternoon Sharon did take the Andy and Elaina to the mall for a walk. It was Elaina's first trip. She slept the whole time. She is going to the bathroom better today. That is a praise. These days our lives are all about eating and diapers. Its great to serve our children as Jesus would have us and as Jesus did in His time. Thank you for visiting. Daddy goes back to work tomorrow so the next update for Elaina's site will be in one week. I will update it every week for the first six months. Then she will be added to our regular pictures for 2006. God bless. 12/10/05 Sharon and the boys went out and went to a Christmas craft fair this morning. Elaina slept the whole time. She has had some problems going to the bathroom but I think she is getting better about that. Daddy was sick today and did not join in the fun but did feel a little beter at night to have dinner with everyone. 12/9/05 Today was pretty regular. The Beavers took the day off and just stayed around the house. Elaina slept some more on her blanket to remove the jaundice. The doctor says that we did not have to have her blood drawn today but that we can wait for Monday to see if the bilirubin has gone down to a good level. It is currently at 12. I believe it was up to 18 at one point so it seems the light therapy is helping. Elaina and the boys stayed with Grandma while Mommy and Daddy went to see The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe which was quite good as my friends in the UK would put it. Elaina is doing well. Thanks for all the prayers. 12/8/05 Today Elaina went to the Riverdale Nursery School's Christmas party. That is the name of Andy's preschool. She was held by a few people as you can see in the pictures and pretty much slept the whole time. She and Sammy did get cranky towards the end so we had to take them home early and get them fed and in bed. She went for another blood test today. Hopefully by tomorrow we should hear some results that her jaundice is improving. Please pray that it will go down. 12/7/05 Elaina visited Sharon's small group this morning. They thought Elaina was beautiful and she slept the whole time. Daddy took Elaina to have her jaundice checked out today. They had to draw blood from her foot and she did cry for awhile but after it was done she went right back to sleep. Daddy gave out two cards with our web site on it so hopefully the hospital staff will be able to check out her web site. Aunt LaDonna got to feed her from the bottle for the first time. Elaina is still on her schedule of sleeping and eating. She sleeps very well and its nice to have a baby that does so. She does wake up a few times each night to feed but does allow us some good sleep otherwise. 12/6/05 Sharon had a one week check up after the surgery and everything looks fine. She took Elaina with her to her checkup and she slept the whole time. The family continues to love on her and make her feel welcome. There's not too much to being a newborn but Elaina does it quite well. We continued to put her on her Billy blanket to help with her jaundice. All in all we are doing ok. Thanks for visiting! 12/5/05 Elaina's jaundice has gone up a little bit but its not too much of a concern. Sammy had it for a few days and he turned out just fine. They actually brought us a machine for light therapy. Elaina sleeps on it as you see in some of the pictures. We will try to keep her on it for most of the day and the jaundiceshould level off and disappear. We went out for Grandma's Birthday today. I am going to add those pictures to our 2005 page. You can click pictures link above to view when available. Thanks for visiting. GOD bless in this holiday season! Remember stuff is lame and it's all about Jesus's birthday! 12/04/05 Today was Elaina's first trip to church. She was adored by many and slept through the service in her car seat. I am so glad to have her. She is so precious and such a blessing to us. What a great addition we have to the holiday season! I keep thinking about Jesus as a baby looking at Elaina. GOD came as a baby! Wow! I hope the story of CHRISTmas is brand new to you this year. I will never know what I did do deserve a great family like the one I have. GOD is too good! Thanks to the Green family for supplying KFC for us!!! 12/03/05 Elaina had her first outing with Grandma and Mommy. Elaina slept most of the time with one feeding during the whole day. She sleeps really good once her tummy is full. She cried pretty hard when she had to be pricked for her jaundice test. When it was over Mommy gave her her paci and she went right to sleep. Her brothers loved on her some more today as well as Daddy. She is beautiful and a great blessing to us. 12/02/05 Not much to report today. Elaina is eating better but of course her schedule just consists of sleeping and eating right now. Tomorrow she has an appointment to see the doctor about getting her jaundice checked out. As you can see from the pictures Andy is taking very well to Elaina. Sammy is also doing good. He touches her very nice on the top of her head and points at her and says "Da!" which we interpret as "Look Dad!". Thank you to Tammy McElroy for bringing us a nice lasagna dinner and the boys some McDonalds. We also enjoyed some nice bread and a strawberry cheesecake. GOD bless to all! 12/01/05 Today is the day Elaina comes home!!! Her jaundice is not that serious but it is going to be checked in a few days just to make sure. She is eating very well. We were having a bit of trouble for awhile but now she is getting the hang of it. Grandma ordered Little Caesars for us for dinner and we appreciated that very much. As I type this Elaina rests peacefully in her bassinet. Still amazed at how good our GOD is. Wish you all could be here to see her. GOD bless! 11/30/05 Everything is going pretty well. There are some concerns that Elaina may have jaundice. They did a test on her today and we should know tomorrow what the results are. We are planning on leaving tomorrow and bringing Elaina home if all goes well. Andy and Grandma were able to visit today. Sharon had Arby's for dinner and enjoyed it very much. GOD has truly blessed us with a beautiful gift in our Elaina! 11/29/05 Elaina has had Grandma Harris, Uncle John, Aunt LaDonna, Andy, and Sammy come by to visit. She is doing very well. She had some trouble feeding last night but now she has the hang of it and is enjoying her Mommy. Mommy is recovering very well. She was able to have her IV removed today as well as all her other connections. She started eating solid food and was very happy to have her first meal after the C-section. Andy and Sammy are taking to their new sister very well. Andy is very excited about Elaina. We believe Sammy is to from his pointing and "talking". Daddy caught up on some sleep last night and feels good. Daddy is very excited about the new addition to our household. 11/28/05 It all started at 12:30am on Monday, November 28th when Sharon's water broke. We called Grandma and she came to watch Andy and Sammy as they slept. We drove to Nashville to Southern Hills where the nurse confirmed it was time for Elaina to enter the world. By about 3am Sharon was prepped and ready to go into the OR. At 4:06am Elaina breathed her first breathe. Elaina was born at 7 pounds 12 ounces. She is 20 inches tall and doing very well. She was very eager to eat and is taking to it very easily. Daddy had the camera with him but did not have the cable needed to hook it to the computer. Hopefully we will get that cable soon and pictures will be available. Thank you for all your prayers and support. |
